Gabions and rock mattresses are baskets or cages manufactured from heavily galvanized wire, and also with the addition of a PVC sleeve coating on the core wire.

Concrib’s state-of-the-art gabions, rock-mattresses, and rock fall netting are constructed from double-twist hexagonal woven mesh. This provides inherent strength and flexibility. Also, if a wire is cut or broken the mesh cannot “unravel”.
Gabion and rock-mattress structures are porous to prevent build up of hydrostatic pressure and are able to withstand differential settlement.
